Maggie's story...
Maggie and her brother, Stewie, were born outside and rescued by a nice man who didn't have much time to spend with them. They are really coming around in their foster home, but Maggie is still the shyest of her siblings (her sister, Cassie has been adopted). These guys are about a year and a half old. They have all been spayed/neutered, vaccinated, tested negative for feline leukemia/FIV, dewormed, and treated for fleas and ticks. Maggie will need a quiet home where she can slowly adjust at her own pace. We would like to see her adopted with her brother, Stewie, as they are very bonded and we think it would help her adjust better if she was with her sibling. They have been around dogs and cats. They really like other cats. These two are shy when they first meet you, but if you are willing to take the time with them, they do warm up to you and will be loving kitties with a little time. If you have a quiet environment and are willing to let them progress at their own pace, Maggie and Stewie will delight you. Here is what their foster mom writes about Maggie: 'Maggie is very sweet and loves to play with the other cats. She loves to sit on the cat tower and watch the outside critters. Stewie is her best friend and she cries when they are separated. She loves when you crumple little pieces of paper into balls and she likes to chase the paper balls. She loves tuna and canned kitty food. She also likes to play chase with the other kitties in the house. Maggie does well with the dogs. Maggie knows her name. Maggie has really bad anxiety issues. She does not liked to be picked up and will usually only let me pet her in early morning or late evening. She will run if she thinks you are going to try and pick her up or pet her. I am the only one she will let near her. I use Feliway and that helps a little bit with her anxiety. Her right eye runs, but there is nothing wrong with it.' If you are interested in any of these two orange kitties, please download an application from our 'Adopt' page at www.bandocats.org. Email that back to us or fax it to 614-873-0972.
