Sweet Pea's story...
**Please read ogranization information before inquiring on a cat. Please email if you would like more information on a cat as this is the most efficeient way for rescue personnel to communicate. Only call if email is not possible. Thank you for understanding.** Please Note: This is a courtesy listing for the owner. This cat is not wiht the rescue but can be seen and adopted through her owner. Here is what Sweet Pea's owner says about her: Miss Sweet Pea "Miss P" Beautiful 9-10 year old lynxpoint Siamese mix spayed female with gorgeous large deep blue eyes, long haired. She has lots of beautiful long fluffy off white hair around the neck and looks quite luxurious. She was found outdoors in the Los Angeles area; she was injured on both sides of her face, but you can't even see the signs of it when you look at her; she is truly gorgeous, and gets lots of compliments by visitors... She has been easily scared but she has made huge progress and is quite social now. She loves to be scratched and petted, and will purr easily with the touch of your hand. Her coat is very luxurious and thick, but she does not form mats often at all. She is a gentle sweet cat, who likes humans and she has a very soft voice when she wants something from you. At times she will be a little apprehensive, for example if you enter a room too quickly she may be looking for the door and an escape route. She will sleep on the bed close to you, but she does not always stay on the bed all night. She likes to sit and look out through the screens at night. She is used to living with cat friendly and calm dogs and is a very gentle and sweet cat, and would not do well with a hyper energetic and/or aggressive dog, as she does not have a feisty nature to protect herself, but would probably run, which could trigger a prey drive in a dog. She has not been around children a lot but she likes to play with feathers if they are held by children. She was tested (negative) for FIV, FeLeuk prior to adoption eight years ago. She was recently microchipped and she also got her rabies shot, but she is definitely not an outdoor cat. She accidentally got out one time and was so frightened that it was very hard to get her back inside again. Miss P is easy to handle and will sit still for claw trims; all her claws are intact, but she does not use them on furniture, just on the cat tree. Excellent litter box habits, uses World's Best Cat Litter. She has lived with Sami-sam for eight years, and they will groom each other and play. It would be great if these cats would go to the same home. The reason these two cats are now looking for a new home is that the owner is needing to move overseas to take care of aging parents, and will be living in a small apartment on the 5th floor (no screens on windows/doors); unfortunately this situation would not be very safe for the cats. They have had a very good life, and are now looking for another wonderful home. They are the easiest cats to care for.
