Here is what Samantha's owner wrote about her: Samantha "Sami-sam" Beautiful 8 yr old blue point Birman mix spayed female with blue eyes and white paws, medium haired. She has lots of beautiful long fluffy white hair around the neck. She gets lots of compliments on her beauty... She was found outdoors walking with littermates without any sign of owners in northern Idaho, and she has lived indoors since she was found at four months of age. Sami-sam is a gentle sweet cat who likes humans around, and she talks quite a bit, very softly most of the time, and she likes to be petted, and will jump up on your lap when she knows you, but isn't a huge lap cat. She will come up to you when called, but can be a little shy at first. She is used to living with cat friendly calm dogs and will sit or lie down next to the dogs. She is a very gentle cat, and would not do well with a hyper energetic and/or aggressive dog, as she does not have a feisty nature to protect herself, but would probably run, which could trigger a prey drive in a dog. She has not been around children a lot but she likes to play with feathers if they are held by children. She was tested for FIV, FeLeuk prior to adoption (negative), and she has recently been microchipped and given her rabies shot. She is easy to handle and will sit still for claw trims; all her claws are intact, but she does not use them on furniture, just the cat tree. She will sleep on the bed with you, but jumps off if she even suspects you don't want her there. She is very quiet and content, has never destroyed any furniture or screens, and does not wake you up to be fed in the morning... Exceptional cat. She has lived with Miss Sweet Pea for eight years, and they will groom each other and play; it would be great if they could go to the same home. Excellent litter box habits, uses World's Best Cat Litter. The reason these two cats are now looking for a new home is that the owner is needing to move overseas to take care of aging parents, and will be living in a small apartment on the 5th floor (no screens on windows/doors); unfortunately this situation would not be very safe for the cats. They have had a very good life, and are now looking for another wonderful home. They are the easiest cats to care for.
