| Maura’s dilute tortoiseshell colors make a lively patchwork pattern in gray, peach, and cream. She is long and tall with very short fur and a narrow head like a Siamese cat. She loves to be petted and have her head scratched, though she prefers not to be picked up. Sometimes she is playful, and other times she just watches her kittens play, like any contented mom. Maura, who is 2 or 3 years old, was probably abandoned by her original family. She and her kittens were rescued from a feral colony in D.C. The kittens, born in late March, are still learning to trust people. Pepper, the bravest, is a lovely black girl with bits of white on her back toes and her chest. Mackie and Murphy have soft, pale orange and white fur. Copper is a beautiful orange tabby boy with his mom’s slim body and pointed face. Maura would love to be adopted with one (or more) of her kittens, but could also live alone or with an unrelated cat after a careful introduction. Maura is spayed, vaccinated, and tested negative for FeLV/FIV. |
