Please contact Walter or Gayle (gayle@maximumk-9.com) for more information about this pet.
My name is Trace. I am an exceptional goat herding male border collie who is approximately 1.5 years old. I came from a working environment and am now seeking like employment. Although I do have a strong worth ethic; I am a great house dog. I love to lounge around, spending time being petted and loved on; but I can switch into working mode as quickly as needed. I came here with my working partner, Tex, who is also on this site. If you have enough farm animals for both of us, we would not mind being adopted together, but we can be separated. Currently, we are playing well with and herding the cats and dogs who we live with and having a grand time. But a working environment and wide open space are where we would really love to be. As a working border collie, I am strong; athletic; quick and energetic. But in the home, I am loving sweet and adore beign with you. I am happy to lounge on a cozy bed and wait to work. If you believe that you are the perfect home for me, please come and visit with me. I love to show off my abilities and meeting new baby is always great. All individuals wishing to adopt a dog must complete an application. A vet check and home visit also apply. All dogs have basic obedience; are house trained and crate trained. Additionally, all adopted dogs are welcome at all training classes offered by Maximum K-9 around the DFW area for the life of the dog. For an application: email gayle@maximumk-9.com or call 972.938.1011; or complete the application on our petfinder home page and email to gayle@maximumk-9.com.

We are a small shelter, owned and operated by a trainer, (see www.maximumk-9.com) offering a variety of animals for adoption. Our main focus is on dogs; but we occasionally have cats and birds. Before placement, all dogs and cats have current vaccinations, are spayed or neutered, heartworm negative, and are restored as necessary to good health. Any animal with special needs will be noted on their bio. We strive to give you as complete a picture as possible on any animal in our rescue. All dogs have basic obedience, and are house trained.unless otherwise noted. We also crate train all dogs. We require that you complete our adoption application and submit to a vet check and home visit to qualify for adoption. Adoption fees, ranging from $200 to $500, are charged to defray a fraction of veterinary and other costs incurred in the restoration of your animal’s health. All adoption fees are considered donations and are therefore not refundable. If for any reason, an adoption does not work out, the animal MUST be returned to A Friend for Life Animal Rescue.
