| Sophie is an adorable Redtick Coonhound who came from an overcrowded shelter where she was slated to be euthanized. Sophie is approximately 2 years old and weighs 50 lbs. Sophie is a very loving and sweet girl who craves human companionship and affection. Her prior life may not have exposed her to many things, so she is getting used to being a companion dog and is shy and timid with most new situations, but she is extremely eager-to-please and wanting to be part of a family. Poor Sophie has been moved several times in a very short period of time and hasn’t had the opportunity to adjust to a real home, her new forever home will need to patient and committed until Sophie can feel comfortable that she is not going to be moved again. She gets along well all dogs and cats. She is very sweet with people and gives kisses and nudges for attention. She is a gentle and kind soul who will blossom into a wonderful family member! Sophie is housetrained and crate trained. Her crate is her comfort place and she will need one in her new home. She is a smart girl and learned sit and lie down in a week. Sophie loves walks and playing fetch and needs an owner who will be committed to daily exercise to tire her out and help her relax.  |
