Jasper's story...
Jasper is a GORGEOUS little boy who will steal your heart! He is super shy at first, but once he trusts you, he adores attention and being petted and has the softest little meow that will pull at your heartstrings. Jasper needs a loving new home that understands shy kitties and is patient enough to give him a chance and show him what love can really be. He loves his foster mom and has really bonded with her, and we know that he could love a new mama or daddy just as much if he's given a chance. And he deserves that chance, he deserves to be loved in a home where he can get more love and attention. He just needs an experienced cat owner who understands what a semi-feral cat is - this is a kitten who did not have human interaction much in his first weeks of life, so he had to learn to trust humans in his foster home over the next few months after he was rescued (he was an abandoned baby kitten). His new owner will need to how to scruff, which means picking him up by grabbing the loose skin on the back of his neck like his mama did when he was a baby (he is super scared of being held and will need to be scruffed if he ever needs to be put into a carrier). He is also neutered so he is ready for his new forever home.
Please consider giving this sweet little buff baby a chance. Jasper has also bonded with Chloe and would love to find a home with her is possible, and they could be adopted 2-for-1 as part of our Buddy System. If you are interested in meeting Jasper, please email foster mom Emily at orphananimalrescue@yahoo.com.
The requested adoption fee for Jasper is $25. Jasper has been neutered, received his distemper shots, tested negative for Feline Leukemia, heartworm and FIV, and has been de-wormed. Won't you open your heart and home to this little guy?

Our Adoption Process...
To take the next step in finding the purrfect match for your lifestyle: download an adoption application, complete it and return it to orphananimalrescue@yahoo.com. We'll contact your vet and personal references and respond to you within 48-72 hours. Upon approval, we'll set up an appointment for you to meet the adoptable pet. The adoption fee varies (see www.orphananimalrescue.org/HowToAdopt.html for specifics). Home checks may be required for puppy or dog adoptions. An adoption contract will be completed at the time your adoption is finalized. If you rent, a copy of the rental agreement/ pet clause is required. We do require that current pets be up-to-date on vaccinations and be spayed/neutered. It is our goal to match the pet with the best possible home, for a lifetime of companionship for both!
We Serve the Following Cities, Towns, and/or Counties...
Orphan Animal Rescue is dedicated to assisting pets and people living in Appleton, Neenah, Menasha and the surrounding Fox Valley communities in Northeast Wisconsin. OARS just purchased an adoption center, so we are not a typical shelter. Instead we rely on a team of dedicated foster volunteers to care for these adoptable pets in their own home until the pets are ready to be transferred to our adoption center (opening soon!) This gives us an unique perspective since we live together 24/7. This allows us the opportunity to get to know the pets' likes, dislikes and how they react to other animals, children, and adults.
