Nikki's story...

Nikki was spayed at the Shenandoah Valley Spay/Neuter Clinic in Harrisonburg on February 24, 2009, tested negative for leukemia and FIV.  Received her distemper and rabies shots.  Her ears were treated for mites.  Dewormed with Drontal by owner.  Received her second distemper shot at Augusta \Valley Animal Hospital on March 24.

Nikki is very friendly, but would be skittish at first around new people; likes Fancy Feast Grilled Chicken as well as Grilled Turkey.  Also Kitten Chow.  Uses scoopable litter.

Should only be an indoor cat; suggest a good scratching post.  Would suggest confining her to a room with her food and litter for a couple days and then let her come into the rest of the house on her own with being able to go back to her room for security.  Do not place the litter pan next to the food and water.

If any questions, please call me.

About Our Rescue Group...
Founded in 1998, Cat’s Cradle seeks to end euthanasia of healthy adoptable cats and dogs in Shenandoah Valley through aggressive spay/neuter of owned animals and TNR (trap/neuter/release) of feral cats.

We also have a netowrk of foster parents and an active adoption program for cats. We do not euthanize for space.

Please visit our website at: www.catscradleva.org for more information.

Come Meet Our Pets...
We show our cats at PetSmart in Potomac Yard, Alexandria VA Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays, and at the PetSmart in Harrisonburg, VA on Saturdays.

Please visit our website: www.catscradleva.org for other adoption events.

Our Adoption Process...
Please see our website: www.catscradleva.org for a copy of our adoption application and adoption contract. Adoption fees vary, but generally run around $135.

All our cats are spayed or neutered before adoption, and fully vetted. We have no shelter; all our cats live in foster homes until adoption.

We generally prefer indoor only homes, and our contract specifies that the cat(s) will not be de-clawed.

We have some cats that cannot be adopted into an indoor situation. For these, we seek safe barn or out-building locations.

We Serve the Following Cities, Towns, and/or Counties...
Augusta, Page, Rockingham and Shenandoah Counties in Virginia.
