Benny's story...

Bennys start on life was really hard.. he was found at a dump. he had almost no hair he was all bones except his belly was swollen from worms and malnutrition. benny weighed about 2 lbs then. about the size of an 8 week old kitten. When we took benny to the vet he said he was 6 months old! The poor baby was half dead. It took a few months to get benny healthy. he has been very timid and scared but is coming out of his shell and really starting to enjoy life. Benny will need a quiet home. He loves other kitties. But gets a little shy with people. he enjoys being loved on quietly. Benny currently resides at our Adoption Center and would love for you to come visit him. Can you give benny the new life he so desperately needs?

About Our Rescue Group...

Founded in 1998, Cat’s Cradle seeks to end euthanasia of healthy adoptable cats and dogs in Shenandoah Valley through aggressive spay/neuter of owned animals and TNR (trap/neuter/release) of feral cats.

We also have a netowrk of foster parents and an active adoption program for cats. We do not euthanize for space.

We show our cats at PetSmart in Potomac Yard, Alexandria VA Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays, and at the PetSmart in Harrisonburg, VA on Saturdays.

Our Adoption Process...

Please see our website: www.catscradleva.org for a copy of our adoption application and adoption contract. Adoption fees vary, but generally run around $135.

All our cats are spayed or neutered before adoption, and fully vetted. We have no shelter; all our cats live in foster homes until adoption.

We generally prefer indoor only homes, and our contract specifies that the cat(s) will not be de-clawed.

We have some cats that cannot be adopted into an indoor situation. For these, we seek safe barn or out-building locations.

We Serve the Following Cities, Towns, and/or Counties...

Augusta, Page, Rockingham and Shenandoah Counties in Virginia.
