Happy Rottie Girl needs forever family!
Sophie is a beautiful purebred rottie who loves hugs and to snuggle. She LOVES toys and chewy treats and will do a very happy dance for you when it's time for her to eat. She LOVES to play ball and will happily flip the ball and play her own version of doggie soccer with it. Silly Sophie has earned her nickname 'Sophie Wigglebooty' since she is constantly wiggling her little stub tail as fast as a hummingbird. She likes other dogs as long as they are nice to her, but if they are rude, she's no pushover. She loves to be brushed and is very calm when it's not playtime. She was rescued from a backyard breeder who only wanted her for the pretty puppies that she could make, then one day he tossed her into the shelter. Despite having a rough life, Sophie doesn't hold it against anyone and loves affection and attention. Public shelters are overcrowded and have fallen victim to the economic crisis just like everyone else. Shelter dogs may not have long, so if you see a dog listed in a public shelter, please don't delay and contact the shelter ASAP. To avoid possible disappointment, we also strongly recommend that you make advance arrangements to meet a dog versus "just stopping by".

Rescue Group...
|
| We specialize in rescuing Akitas , both purebred and mixes and from time to time other large breed dogs from high kill shelters, provide medical assistance if needed, assess them and find homes. We are truly the last resort for many dog that would otherwise be put to sleep. This is a act of kindness for those in most need & out of love for the dogs. We are an all volunteer organization that survives on donations. |

| Our Adoption Process... |
| We have an adoption agreement and ask that you keep us informed of the dog's whereabouts if you move or relocate and also that you maintain updated contact information with our organization. We ask for a tax deductible donation of between $250 - $500 to help us pay vet bills, rescue fees, boarding & transporting expenses. |
