Red is the best behaved dog his foster mom has ever pulled from the pound (okay, second best, but that dog was 6 years old and off the charts in all categories) and has only gotten better in the six week period of getting healthy and up to date since he came out of the pound. Red is a 1-2 year old pit bull terrier. He heels perfectly on a short leash, sits, stays, crates on command, has never had an accident in the house (even when he came out of the pound as a very sick boy). He plays well with all the other dogs, ignores the cats, is obedient and friendly to humans, adaptable to different situations and environments, and took to being a follower rather than struggling to be a leader in a matter of days. Also, he could give Miss America a run for her money with his elegant carriage, graceful lines and gorgeous coat. If it wouldn't cut down on the number of dogs she could foster in the future, his foster mom would adopt him herself in a heartbeat. There is no reason for this dog to be taking a slot in a foster home for one more day... well maybe one... Red has a shoe fetish. But as this quickly taught his foster dad to start hanging his shoes on the shoe rack that sat unused in the closet for years, rather than leaving them laying around on the floor, it turned out to be just one more way that Red as an addition made the house a better place to be for his foster mom. Red is now neutered, up to date and ready to find a family that will honor and appreciate him, and remember to put their shoes away.

His adoption fee is $195.00 whch includes microchippimg.

Yes, we adopt out of state providing you have an approved application. In order to be approved for out of  state adoptions you MUST provide a vet reference and own your own home. We do NOT ship pets and require all family members  as well as other family dogs to meet the new pet.  We do not adopt outside of the US.
