Naturally I said yes. She asked if we could take her on the last day before they went into the nursing home so they could love her as long as possible and I had no problems with that. She did tell me that she has storm phobia and when you went to put her in a crate she would bite you. I picked her up and we have had some major thunderstorms through hers since I did and I haven't had any problems with her trying to bite me, but then again I don't try and put her in a crate either. She goes behind my bed and shivers a bit, but other than that she is just fine. Dixie is a ball player extroidenaire as you can see in the photos. I was holding up a ball and she really wanted me to throw it for her. The owners said she would play fetch with you as long as you wanted. This is a sweet little older girl who is a bit overwhelmed by all the dogs here, but learning they ain't gonna eat her. Dixie is loving and sweet. She is housebroken per the owner and I haven't seen anything to dispute that. I think that Dixie would be good for an older couple since her family was an older couple. She is a quiet dog who wants to be loved and loves to play if you want to play, but she is not obnoxious about it like some dogs. :) If you are looking for a great little girl, then Dixie is one you should look hard at cause she is what a Boston is supposed to be, friendly, lively, yet capable of calming down and just interested in everything going on around her.
