Cricket is a 3 year old white and black Chiuhuahua and Rat Terrier mix. She has a very laid back and relaxed personality. She loves to sit on laps and be held. She loves being carried around.
Cricket is not one to say much, unless she has something to say. Sometimes several weeks would go by without her foster family hearing so much as a bark or whimper.
She loves being with people and wags her tail like crazy around them.
Cricket is crate trained, and won't soil her crate at all. However, Cricket is not yet fully house trained, but she is getting better. She just requires her humans to remind her when it is time to go outside and try to go.
Cricket has flea allergies, and possibly grass allergies. Her skin gets pink and she itches like crazy. When one of our volunteers first took her in, she had a rash. Since in foster care and under our vet's care, she has improved greatly. She will require regular montly flea prevention, as just one flea bite could cause her to break out. Also, because of her possible grass alergies, she prefers to only go outside to do her business. She will walk around, do her business, then kick up the grass before running back to the door to go inside.
Cricket is fully vetted. She is spayed, dewormed, deflead, microchipped, tested negative for heartworms, up to date on shots, and on monthly Interceptor heartworm prevention. Her adoption fee is $120.00. To be considered to adopt one of our dogs, we require a completed prescreening application, a vet reference, and a home visit. See below for a link to our application. Thank you!
