Ruff Ruff! My name is Nina

Hi, my name is Nina.I am a golden retriever mix.  I am an old girl that was found wandering in a busy road. A nice lady picked me up and tried to get a vet clinic to take me in but they would not. Fortunately, a rescue lady was there an offered to come to my aid. Vets call me a geriatric but I don't feel that way. I have a lot of spunk and love to go on walks even though I am at least 10 yrs old. I am medium sized, about 40 lbs. My lower teeth are worn and cracked, but I eat just fine. I get along well with other dogs and cats, and I am good with kids. I can get aggravated if dogs get up in my face though, but I'm old and I like my space and let them know it. Vet told me something else too. I had heartworms, but due to my age, the didn't recommend treatment but said to keep me on Heartworm preventative for the rest of my life. I've been on heartworm prevention for many months and I am not heartworm negative! I am spayed, vaccinated and dewormed, and would love a home to call my own. My adoption fee is $100.

Cats are tested for FIV/FeLV, vaccinated, spayed or neutered, dewormed, and microchipped. Cat adoptions are inside only and no declawing.

Dogs are vaccinated, spayed or neutered, dewormed, microchipped, heartworm tested, and on Heartworm prevention. We don't adopt out yard or chain dogs. Dog adopters must have a fenced in yard.

Small animals are vetted. Ferrets are vaccinated and on Revolution for heartworm and flea prevention. Rabbits are spayed/neutered and exams done. Guinea pigs receive an exam. All pets are treated for parasites as needed.
