| Meet Marci. She was dropped off at one of the rural shelters where I volunteer. The lady who owned her was a senior lady who said Marci was just too energetic for her. The shelter called me right away and told me about this lovely girl. I went down immediately and brought Marci back home with me. I had to take her straight to my vet first thing to have her toenails trimmed (they looked like bird claws!) and get her first DHPP (Distemper/Parvo) vaccination. Since she has come to live here, Marci is thriving. She used to be a fluffy 14 pounds, but now she is a svelte, fit 14 pounds! Marci loves all the male dogs here in her foster home. She plays hard and fast with them all, kind of like a TomBoy! But she can be a little bossy with the other females, so we suggest she go to a home with a male canine companion. As for cats, I don’t think Marci would harm them, but she might aggravate them to death! Marci is VERY affectionate and loves to sleep in the bed with you right up next to your shoulder. Her beautiful blonde coat is very slick and soft and easy to maintain. However, since she doesn’t have much fur, Marci will get cold in the winter. We will require that she be an indoor dog and recommend purchasing her some warm winter clothing to help retain her body heat during the winter months. We believe Marci to be about 9 months old. She is very social and loves everyone she meets. Marci is not housetrained, but she is leashtrained. Marci is also super well behaved in the car and loves to go for car rides. She has already been spayed, heartworm tested (negative), vaccinated for Rabies, Distemper/Parvo, and Bordetella (Kennel Cough).
