Duke (CP)'s story...
We do not adopt any dog out unaltered. ALL dogs/puppies will be spayed or neutered prior to adoption. There are NO exceptions.

Duke is not at our rescue or in any of our foster homes.  We are hoping that his family is able to find him a home before their move.

Duke is very sweet, smart, and adorable. He is such a good dog and we are being picky about where he goes. We were told when we adopted him that he is a terrier/jack russell mix. He is about 35 lbs, three yrs old, is neutered, and house trained. He doesn't destroy anything while left alone, or have any accidents over the period of a full day, while we are  at work. He has a great temperament, never aggressive towards people or other dogs. He loves to play, and loves his toys. He loves the car or a walk. He does not get on furniture and is happy to lay next to the couch or on the floor where ever the people are. He knows sit, lay, shake, and speak... and he thinks bed time is at 10 pm : ) He is a total lover!

Please consider giving this great guy a home!

Please contact Valerie Ritzmann at (812) 584-2551 if interested.

About Our Rescue Group...
Indiana Happy Tails Rescue Inc. was formed to assist animals in finding forever homes. We do our best to match each pet to a forever home.

The pet overpopulation problem is a serious issue. Not only do we spay and neuter every animal adopted out before it leaves, we also hold a low cost spay/neuter program monthly.

Come Meet Our Pets...
Our rescue animals live in foster homes. We do not have a shelter-type facility. They are placed in foster homes to learn to behave in a family setting. If you would like to meet one of our dogs (or cats) please call for an appointment.

Appointments are available in the day/evening and during week and weekends.

Our Adoption Process...
Our adoption fees vary per animal. The fees range from $125 to $300 for fully vetted and spayed/neutered pets.

Requirements vary per animal as well.

We do have adoption applications as well as a contract stating the specific requirements of each animal.

ALL animals regardless of size or age will be spayed/neutered before leaving our foster homes.

We Serve the Following Cities, Towns, and/or Counties...
We do not have set limits on our adoption areas. As long as we are able to conduct a home visit, or find another organization willing to conduct a home visit for us, we can adopt to any area.
