Violet's story...
Violet is a healthy young (approximately 3 years-old) black, female cat. A couple of months ago, she was abandoned with several other cats when their owner abruptly moved out of the country and left them all behind. Somehow, this brave, sweet little girl managed to survive. She has been vetted (FIV/FELV negative, vaccination, spayed, etc.), is in a temporary foster home and very ready for a permanent home where she can be sure to get lots of love, attention, and hugs.

About Our Rescue Group...
We are a 501 (c)(3) non-profit no-kill animal rescue/adoption organization & information clearinghouse in NYC dedicated to decreasing the number of homeless cats & kittens by rescuing those abandoned or in city "kill" shelters.

We have no formal shelter, instead, our cats reside in our homes until we can find a suitable home for them. We spend a lot of time interacting with our rescues to give them a lot of personalized attention, establish their personality traits, and tend to their health, and physical and emotional well being.

We have a holistic philosophy with a two-pronged mission with the tasks of: a) continuing to participate in the myriad, ongoing rescue and adoption work of all of the similarly-involved local groups as well as: b) raising awareness for Humans to be better, more responsible, committed and informed animal care-givers. This includes information on holistic vet care, quality food and inclusion of Pet Trusts in people's Advance Directives.

Come Meet Our Pets...
We circulate information about adoptions through word of mouth, posters and web advertising. When you contact us, we will arrange for you to meet our cats, and to talk with you.
Our Adoption Process...
We will work with you to ensure that our rescues are going to a good home where everyone will be happy. Cats, just like their humans are unique. We want you to have the right cat in a safe environment. We do require a fee. You will have to sign a contract, provide personal references and a vet reference if you have had pets before. We will require at least 1 visit to your home, either before or after the adoption process.
We Serve the Following Cities, Towns, and/or Counties...
We rescue and adopt cats in New York and New Jersey.
