I was rescued from roaming irrigation canals and going hungry on my own by a compassionate young couple who unfortunately have no fenced yard for me. I get great meals but I can't run around and play while I'm tied up all day. So, I'm waiting on my tie-out for nice folks with a secure yard and a loving home. I like to give kisses and get hugs and play with my toys and go for walks. I'm a quiet and affectionate boy. I have golden eyes and floppy ears. A.R.T.A. -- Animal Rescue, Transport, and Adoption -- is a small, rural foster home based rescue that cares for and places kittens, cats, puppies, and dogs into new homes -- usually, in the Tucson and Phoenix areas. Most of our adoptable animals have been relinquished by previous owners who could not care for them due to unforeseen circumstances or life changes. The adoptable animals may be visited by appointment or be seen in Tucson area. for weekend adoption events.
A.R.T.A. adopts mostly to homes in Tucson and Phoenix areas. Other locations may be considered.

Please, email about your ideal cat or dog you'd like to adopt and a little about home you are offering. Adoption fee is usually just the cost that vet charges for spay, neuter, and shots.
