| Our shelter began in 2005 to assist A.R.T.A. Rescue, a rural Arizona Dog Shelter overrun by kittens, in socializing and rehabilitating orphaned kittens rescued in the desert. We now assist the San Diego Feral Cat Coalition, county shelters, and the public of San Diego in rehabing and homing orphaned kittens. We take care of the kittens' medical care and, when they are healthy, adopt the kittens to good homes in San Diego through an application process. We are a grassroots group of friends helping kittens while going to school and working. Many times, the medical expenses exceeds what an adopter is willing to pay for a kittens. This expense comes out of our pockets, so donations are always welcome to offset this cost. See A.R.T.A. Dog Rescue for dog adoptions. A.R.T.A. was founded by a local San Diegan who moved to the shelter to Arizona in order to find affordable land to build a facility for the rescued dogs. Occasionaly, we list animals in need in cities outside of San Diego |
