Thankful's story...
Thankful was surrendered to the shelter in October because he owner could no longer care for her and afford to get her spayed. She originally got Thankful from a lady who was not taking proper care of Thankful. Thankful's previous owner said that Thankful likes to play fetch. Thankful would chase down crumpled pieces of paper, and bring them back to whoever threw them. She also likes a bit of cold milk as a treat in the morning. (Cats should not get cow milk on a regular basis because as they get older, they loose the enzymes in their body that allow their tummy to process the milk, making them sick.) Another neat thing about Thankful is that she has extra toes, making her a polydactly (which means a cat with many toes.) She didn't seem to care much for smaller her children and her previous owner suggested that she would probably do better in a home with older kids. Also, her owner stated that Thankful would not uses the litterbox when she was in heat. (There were also other cats in the home and probably not enough litterboxes.) This is why she should be spayed ASAP.

Please check with the shelter before while considering adoption. Not all of our animals are up for same day adoption.
