After 12 years of providing a family with only love and companionship Keisha was discarded when her past guardian decided to move to a home where she was not welcome. When Pound rescue was first contacted she left us an email saying, “my conversation with you left me feeling like an awful person for needing to find placement for my dog. If I could take her with me, I would”… Not even two days later she replies with, “RJ, I have made an appointment for euthanizing my dog for Sept 2. Any help you can think of to avert this would be greatly appreciated”. How is it that some people think they can get rid of their animals as if they were old pieces of furniture? What message has this now given to the rest of the family, the children?
Keisha is now safe and sound, ready to find a home where she can live out the rest of her life. Yes she may be 12 years old, but this young spirited girl has a lot of love to offer. We feel Keisha would do best in a quieter home, one with or without children, but preferably one without other dogs as it takes her awhile to warm up to them. Cats on the other hand she simply ignores....
