Jake was brought to us from Bridge City TX. He was hit by a truck and left for dead. Luckily a good samaritan picked him up and took him to her vet. After having x-rays done, it was determined that Jake has a complex fracture and a shattered hip and he will need to have surgery to reconstruct his leg. As you can imagine, this surgery is very expensive. Jake rescuer sent emails out to try and find a rescue organization to take Jake. Nobody came forward to take Jake except for PAWS of Austin. PAWS agreed to take Jake and provide him with the surgery and treatments he needs. But in order for PAWS to help Jake, we need YOUR help. Please consider making a donation to help Jake. Anything will be helpful and greatly appreciated. To make a secure on-line donation, please go to PAWS website How You Can Help page. Thank you! www.pawsofaustin.org
Many of the dogs taken into our rescue have been neglected and are in very poor health and usually in need of extensive medical care. Many of them are severely under weight and are Heartworm positive, a condition which will be fatal if not treated.
PAWS relies on support from the community. Your donations allow us to provide these dogs with the care, surgeries and treatments they need. It is thanks to caring people like you we can continue the rescue work we do.
