Clarisse had everyone fooled. She was dumped at a house where, in the past, we have spayed and neutered all the cats. No more kittens there. So, of course, the lady wanted to make sure little Clarisse was also fixed. But she couldn't catch her. We thought she was a feral cat. Added to her problems, Clarisse had a horrible upper respiratory infection and her little eyes were gooped over. We knew we needed to get her on antibiotics, but again, we couldn't catch her to give her medicine. Finally, after a month of trying traps and food and all sorts of inventions, the lady called to say she had our elusive calico girl. And she is the nicest cat ever! She fooled us all. We think she was just scared and sick and didn't quite know what to do since she was dumped. But as soon as we touched her, she laid down for a belly rub and began purring. She also knows how to play with toys. Sometimes when you get a feral cat or a cat that has not been around humans, you have to teach them how to play with toys. Miss Clarisse knew what to do right from the start. Clarisse loves to sit on your lap and be held. She loves to be petted and have her ears and belly rubbed. Feral cat? No way! Clarisse is only about 6 months old. She has been spayed, vaccinated, tested negative for feline leukemia/FIV, microchipped, treated for fleas and worms. We've also got her eyes cleared up and taken care of her horrible infection. Hurrah! If you would like to give this gorgeous dilute calico girl a home, please download an application from the 'Adopt' page of our web site and either email it back to us or fax it to 614-873-0972.
