Sandy's story...
This sweet little Labby girl has had a bad start to her short life. At only about 1 1/2 years old she is heartworm positive. Sandy will be undergoing treatment with our veterinarian, Dr Heather, who is an expert on heartworm treatment. Since she is so young and could not have had heartworm for a very long time (it takes at least 6 months for the disease to develop) Dr Heather says Sandy will suffer no long term ill effects.

Sandy is such a sweet little girl and deserves to have a much better life with a responsible owner who will keep her on heartworm prevention and give her all the things she lacked previously. high on Sandy's list is a soft bed, good treats and she especially loves squeaky toys. Her most favorite squeakly is Mr Frog. She loves to carry him around in her mouth and won't let the other dogs in her foster home play with him. She is sooo cute!

Sandy is spayed and up to date on vaccines. She is a little girl at about 45 lbs.

Sandy will be ready as soon as she is through with her treatment. Please, please apply for this sweetheart, she really needs a caring family.
