Adoption pending, Gubandy is on a home trial - She will not be at our adoption event Saturday but you can still submit an application in case the hometrial does not work out. Gubandy is a 13 pound, 3 year old Mini Aussie who was bred for her puppies and then dumped at the Downey Shelter by her owners. We pulled her right out of there. She is a stunning little dog with a beautiful blue merle coat and 2 different colored eyes and a docked tail. She is very unique looking and is a true Aussie inside and out with all the character traits a regular sized Aussie has. She is one of the most alert, attentive dogs I have ever met. She watches your every move almost like she is waiting for a job to do or just tracking you. She is obviously a working dog and she would make a wonderful agility dog. She is very independant and focused on you. She is wonderful on leash, walks right by your side and stops when you stop.... waiting, again for direction. If I had a herd of sheep in my back yard she would be in heaven. Gubandy is sweet, friendly and wants to be playful but its almost like she does not know how to play with toys. We are working on that. She would be best placed in a home with older children who can assure her safety in the house with doors and gates. She is completely housebroken with a doggie door or an open door and she is pretty indifferent to other dogs in the home. She is very aloof of them and instead, really wants to be where people are. She knows how to sit and lay down and heels perfect on leash. She will take your socks or clothes left on the floor and drag them off to nest in. She is a little shy when she first meets strangers but she does come around. Gubandy is available for pre-adoption at this time and will NOT be able to go home until after November 14th, 2009. Gubandy is current on her vaccinations, microchipped and spayed. Her adoption fee will be $300.00 which is tax deductible. Gubandy is in foster care and can be seen without an appointment at the Animals Rule Saturday adoption events from 11am - 3pm at Creative Pet Supply -305 North Harbor Blvd. San Pedro, CA 90731. You must submit an application to start your adoption process. No private appointments will be made without an application on file. Submitting an application does not guarantee you an adoption, it just assists us in the interview process. You can change your mind at any time. About Our Rescue Group...

Our Mission Statement: Animals Rule Placement Foundation was founded in 2003 by Stephanie Crawford. We are a group of non paid volunteers who have come together to rescue and foster animals in need of adoption. We believe in the spay & neuter of all animals, regardless of breed, in order to aid in the prevention of pet overpopulation. We strive to help decrease the number of dogs being euthanized in our local animal shelters by providing basic training for those dogs that have behaviors which need to be modified. We also make sure sick or injured animals receive veterinary care and necessary rehabilitation. Our dogs come to us from a variety of different sources. Some dogs are rescued from our City and County Shelters, most are strays, neglected, abandoned or abused dogs, and others are from our Community Outreach Program which helps to rehome family pets.

Who We Are: Animals Rule Placement Foundation is a registered 501 (C) 3 Non Profit Organization #13-4264510. We are based out of the South Bay, in the City of San Pedro, California. Our funding comes entirely from donations, our adoption fees and fund raisers. We do not receive any City, County or Government funding. Your tax deductible donation is used 100% for the welfare and veterinary care of the animals while they are with us.

Our Adoption Process...

We require applicants to fill out a 2 page application, we have a interview process and we do a home check. Some dogs require a signed training contract in order to be adopted.
All of our adoption fees vary from dog to dog and are tax deductible.
