Tidgie was rescued out of the shelter after being picked up from the street. She was very thin (her hips jutted out like a cow and you could count all her ribs) and very timid. When she was taken for a vet check, we were told they thought she was pregnant or else in heat. Her appointment for spaying was going to be 3-4 later so I thought I’d be able to fatten her up for that ordeal. When she was taken in for spaying, she weighed 7.5 lbs and had a cold so couldn’t be spayed at that time...I was told she was definitely pregnant. I asked how far along and was told she’d probably have the pups by the time she finished her antibiotics. Three days after the antibiotics were gone she presented me with 3 healthy, beautiful babies. She was a wonderful Mama, but now it’s time for her to find a home of her own. She is playful, pretty good on a leash, not aggressive with my cats but will chase them if they run. She isn’t too bad with the house training and is good in the car. Tidgie has the typical Chihuahua attitude...she owns everything! She has come out of her shell and rules the house. Tidgie has taken over Boris’ bed (my large 70 lbs . dog) and puts all of her treasures in the bed with her…is not destructive, but will steal slippers, socks, toys, chew bones etc. and put them in “her” bed, but doesn’t chew them up...just guards them. She likes being a lap dog, but is ok in a crate too. If you would like to give a loving home to her, she’s ready to love you too. Call Sharon at (661) 822-5213. |
