Bubba's story...
Hi! My name is Bubba and I’m an elderly gentleman around 14 years old. My friend Molly and I came to Boston Buddies together after a tough time with our former family. You see, they adopted us a few years ago and recently they fell on hard times and we all had to live in their car. We ate lots of fast food and gained so much weight! When I came to Boston Buddies I weighed 35 pounds! I’m down to 27 pounds now and feeling much better indeed, but still have a little ways to go, both with health issues and with my weight. I’m blind and have a condition known as dry eye so I will need eye drops a couple of times a day for the rest of my life. I also have some allergies that made my skin red and raw, but medicine helps with that too. But please don’t let the medicine scare you away, OK? Boston Buddies is committed to providing my medicine to my adoptive family for the rest of my life. And, you should see me now – I look like a new dog in just a few short weeks since I’ve been eating right and taking my medicine, and I feel like one too! I am a very sweet, loving and gentle dog who would love to live out my senior years in a nice, quiet home with a warm lap to curl up in. I’ve been neutered, brought up to date on shots, microchipped, heart worm tested (negative), had a fecal test (negative), and I’ve been checked out and although I don’t have a clean bill of health yet, (so I’m not quite ready to be adopted) we’re working on it and I’d really love it if you would like to foster me! About Our Rescue Group...
Boston Buddies is a recognized 501(c)(3) non-profit organization dedicated to rescuing Boston Terriers who are abandoned, neglected or abused and placing them in permanent, loving homes. Our ultimate purpose is to match homeless or potentially homeless Boston Terriers with loving, permanent families specifically interested in the breed. We do not have a brick and mortar kennel facility. Instead, we provide our rescue dogs with temporary foster care in private homes located throughout Southern California where we can assess their personality and preferences. All of our dogs are examined by a vet and provided all necessary medical treatment, vaccinated, spayed or neutered and put on heartworm preventative.

Boston Buddies is always looking for volunteers to help with shelter checks, transport and foster home care. We invite you to visit our website – www.bostonbuddies.org

Our Adoption Process...
Boston Buddies adopts its dogs to loving and caring homes located in Southern California. We do not place our dogs in homes with children under the age of eight. The first step in adopting a Boston Buddy is to submit an Adoption Application which can be downloaded at our website, www.bostonbuddies.org. After a home visit with one of our volunteers and approval of the Application we will arrange meetings with dogs that will be compatible with the approved adopter. An Adoption Application and Adoption Fee is required, as well as follow up visits.
We Serve the Following Cities, Towns, and/or Counties...
Boston Buddies services Los Angeles, Ventura, San Luis Obispo, Santa Barbara, Kern and Orange Counties, as well as some surrounding communities. Because in person interviews, home checks and follow up visits are a part of every adoption, Boston Buddies limits its adoptions to residents of California.
