Romeo's Story...
DOB June 1, 2007. Romeo is a beautiful boy who's story thus far is no Shakespearean comedy. This poor boy once had a family who did not neuter him and when they moved away from their home they left him behind. The people who lived next door to the kitty abandoners felt bad for dear Romeo crying at their door so they fed him and let him sleep under their porch. They could not, however, take him in themselves because they had a cat-unfriendly dog. They gave TCR a call and soon enough Romeo was in foster care and was vetted.

Sadly it has since been discovered that Romeo is Feline Leukemia Positive. Despite having the virus his most recent vet visit gave him a check for good health, and he's been gaining weight well in foster care. Most likely the Feline Leukemia virus could cause complications down the road. However, for now he is a healthy, stunning boy who deserves a proper chance to have a forever home.

He is a total doll who is a true suck. He loves chin scratches and to have his belly rubbed. He is very vocal and sweet. Although he does get along with other cats, he can only go to a home with other cats if they are also Feline Leukemia positive, as it is a contagious virus. Please give this boy the forever home he so deserves!

In lieu of the standard adoption fee, a donation of your choice is greatly appreciated.

Our Adoption Process...
Decided on the kitty you would like to adopt? Please call the TCR Hotline - 416-538-8592 (press 1 for adoptions and leave a message) or email: tcr.adoptions@hotmail.com for a pre-adoption interview.

An adoption coordinator will return your call and give you more details about the cat you are interested in and ask some questions about your home to make sure the cat will be a "purr-fect" fit. We are happy to answer any questions you may have as well.

Next you will be supplied with the foster home address to have a meet and greet with your kitty. If both parties are happy, you can sign the TCR Contract of Adoption, pay the adoption fee and take your kitty home with you (in a safe carrying case).

Adoption fee is $175 per cat. This ensures that the cats that come into our care receive the attention they need, are spayed or neutered, and receive a rabies vaccination at the appropriate age. It also includes 6 weeks of free pet insurance. As you can imagine, these fees only begin to cover our costs; donations and ongoing fundraising efforts carry us the rest of the way!
