Boot's has entered foster care and his name has been changed to Sammy. Sammy's under 2 years old and still has very much puppy in him. He's such a sweetheart and a very gentle boy. He's around 100lbs. He is on a good diet and has gained weight in no time. Sammy's learning basic commands and his confidence has built up in leaps and bounds as he was quit a submissive boy. He's great with other big dogs and little dogs. He really enjoys trips to the fenced in leash free park. He's a very social boy who likes everyone that he meets. He can climb chain link but only wanted to be with people so is better suited to a wood privacy fence, although he's never tried to climb his foster family's 4 foot fence. He's a very gentle boy who loves belly rubs. Sammy is being fostered with other dogs and enjoys their company but also does well living as an only dog. He likes to play with toys and likes to retrieve, bringing a ball back. Very, very nice boy. Please Note: We are all volunteers and busy taking care of our foster dogs so please take the time to fill out our o-nline adoption application if you are interested in more information about any of the hounds that we have for adoption. Filling out our application does not obligate you to adopt in any way. It does, however, help us to determine if the dog that your interested in would be a good match for your family and lifestyle. All of our dogs are fully vetted. They have been vaccinated, altered, microchipped and heartworm tested and on prevention. ADOPTION FEE: $350.00 LOCATION: Sammy is fostered in Markham, ON. Transportation to his forever home can be arranged. Don't let distance deter you! If you would like to give this beautiful boy a forever home please fill out our on line adoption application at ADOPTION APPLICATION Bloodhounds require A SECURELY FENCED YARD. Invisible/underground electric fences don't work on these dogs. They get on a scent and are totally oblivious to anything else around them.....including traffic. Bloodhounds don't tie or chain well either. They are fine for apartment living as long as they get enough exercise. All of our dogs are adopted to be 'in-the-house' family members. Bloodhounds are not for everyone, they can't roam free and can't be walked off leash. |
