I am already neutered, a special needs pet, up to date with shots, good with dogs, and not good with cats.
I'm Big Blue! A special guy who needs a special home. I'm 5 years young and have a beautiful white coat with big beautiful blue eyes (hence, my name!). I'm a little deaf but that make me unique, and doesn't stop me from being an amazing cat -- you'll love watching me play! I do well with most dogs -- but generally not too happy about sharing my home with other cats. You won't want other cats as I am perfectly capable of being the one and only Cat-King of my home. I've been raised in foster care and likes being around people, but am very independent and do not consider myself to be a lap cat... I'm very proud! Don't worry, though, because I will seek out your attention when I wants it.
I am an INDOOR only cat, especially due to my deafness, as well as for safety and health reasons. If you are looking for a very special cat, and you can understand and respect my needs, I am your guy. So, submit the adoption application and let's talk... or meow? http://www.taviandfriends.org/id23.html

Rescue Group Info...
Tavi & Friends is a 501c3 non-profit organization dedicated to helping special companion animals with unique challenges through public awareness, partnership and teamwork, TTouch therapy, training, TNR rescue and adoption. We are also a breed rescue for the American Curl cat.
We rescue cats and dogs from many situations, bring them into a foster care environment to help with needed rehabilitation, medical care, and socialization. We are members of the NYC Breed Network, the Mayor’s Alliance for NYC’s Animals, the Animal Alliance of Long Island, Tellington TTouch Int’l, and network with other animal welfare organizations.
Tavi & Friends does not have a shelter facility at this time (although having the funds for a Sanctuary someday is one of our biggest dreams!) “Meeting” one of our cats or dogs is by appointment only, or you can see them at any of our adoption events throughout New York City and Long Island.
Call us or visit our website for listings of adoption events. www.TAVIandFRIENDS.org
Tavi & Friends is a small, limited intake organization. If you are interested in adopting one of our animals, you can contact us or download the adoption application from our website.
All of our cats and dogs are in foster homes and meeting one of them is by appointment only or at one of our adoption events around New York City & Long Island. The adoption process may take some time as we work hard to ensure that all of our animals go to the best forever home. References are checked, we required an on-site home visit prior to approval, spot checks after adoption, and all adopters are required to sign our adoption contract. There is an adoption fee for all of our animals and this will be discussed with the potential adopter.
All animals will be spayed/neutered, vaccinated as appropriate, cats tested for FIV/FeLV, and we provide full disclosure of the animal’s condition prior to completion of the adoption process. We do, however, recommend that you see your own veterinarian after adoption, and at least yearly, to ensure the ongoing health and well-being of your new pet for many years to come!
