Mariah (female) is one of Tandy's Look-A-Like gray Tabby kittens (dob 08-22-09)
Tandy thought she had a safe and dry location for her kittens but not so. They were born in the machinery crawl space on a truck loading dock. Luckily they were tucked away in a corner and had not yet started to move around or they would have been crushed by the hydraulics when the sliding loading dock was activated. The warehouse crew lifted the inspection plate and one of our members crawled in to retrieve the kittens, they were not quite two weeks old.
Momma Tandy was vet checked and tested negative for Feline Leukemia and FIV and got a clean bill of health. She and her kittens were moved to a foster home where they are growing up happy, healthy and safe. They are a feisty little crew, love to run around and play with toys already and guaranteed to put a smile on your face just to watch them.

The mission of the Humane Society of Northwest Georgia is to reduce the number of healthy animals euthanized in Whitfield County through the continuation of our successful adoption program, aggressive spay/neuter program, promotion of responsible pet ownership and humane education.

We are open to the public on Saturdays for adoptions from noon to 4 PM. You can make an appointment to adopt a dog or cat through the week by calling 706-226-5002.
