Meow! My name is Chandler 3 VIDEOS - Handsome 1-eyed boy!

Chandler, named for Raymond Chandler, L.A.'s master of the hard-boiled detective novel, knows all about mean streets. In his four short years he's seen a lot of them. When we first saw him at the shelter, he had an injured tail, a damaged eye and a bad limp. (Poor fellow!) Now Chandler is healthy and bright-eyed, even though he has only one eye and no tail, and super playful. He just needs one more piece of luck: the perfect home. He has flourished with his foster family. He has learned to get along with other cats and loves to play and wrestle with his feline buddy, but he's very happy by himself too. Chandler would be GREAT for a person who lives in an apartment and is only allowed to have one animal. How did his original injuries happen? We'll never know. Perhaps he was hit by a car, or maybe somebody threw rocks at him. However, once we saw him, his luck changed! Our vet determined that his eye was beyond repair and would have to be removed and that both of his hips were broken! (Can you imagine what he's gone through?) He needed expensive surgeries, and because his luck had really changed, a wonderful sponsor came to his rescue again and paid for the special care he required!

Chandler is about 4 years old, neutered, microchipped and current on his shots.
