Benny's story...

Benny is a 7 year-old neutered Pit Bull / Sharpei mix who is approximately 60 to 65 lb. He has a red-brown coat (very short hair). Benny is happy as an only-pet. He likes his space and is not fond of sharing his owner with other pets. He is very tolerant and loving with his human family members and would be a great companion for OLDER CHILDREN. He is house-broken and has received all his shots up to date. Benny is in great shape and has no health problems. He is very athletic and strong therefore he can easily jump fences. It is best to keep him on a leash or a yard-runner when outside. Benny is an “inside” pet. He has a very short, thin coat and cannot be exposed to cold temperatures for long periods at a time. He has NEVER snapped at or, bitten anyone but, he is shy and often growls and hides from strangers. Likes: To snuggling under blankets, gazing out the window, and crying at squirrels. Dislikes: other animals that bother or challenge him, being ignored, and baths. Some quirks about Benny: He has sensitive skin and MUST be fed lamb and rice (any name brand should due). He hates brooms, sweepers, and laser pointers (he will attack these items if in use in his presence though he is playing, he can be a bit rough). He will run off if he is not kept on a leash. He is not to be trusted to roam freely or unattended outside with no barriers. Words from his current owner: "This is the greatest dog I have ever known and it is going to kill me to get rid of him."

**Who We Are**

***Please note that we are no longer able to take in any more needy Pits due to lack of foster homes. However, please look on pbrc.net for Pit friendly organizations to help you if you need help placing a Pit Bull. Go to the “Dogs to Adopt” link in the upper left hand corner. Next, click on your region. The next page that pops up will have all of the Pit friendly rescues in your area. A lot of rescues will help with out of state Pits as well. We hope this helps some!***

We are a small, non-profit organization dedicated to bettering the lives of the misrepresented American Pit Bull Terrier. We rescue Pit Bulls that are in high-kill shelters, abused, or those who are unwanted. We focus on showing them the love and compassion that so many have never seen in their lives. All of our dogs are temperament tested and have passed with flying colors. We adopt to approved, indoor homes only. Please consider adopting a rescued Pit Bull today!

We are a home-based rescue organization. We do not have a shelter or facility that houses our rescued dogs. If you would like to visit with one of our Redeem-A-Bull's, an appointment must be set up. Please contact us via email or phone to set one up.

Our Adoption Process...

**Adopting a Friend**
Our dogs are very special to us. With that in mind, please be aware of the adoption procedures that are applied when wanting to adopt a needy Pit Bull. *To qualify to adopt one of our Redeem-A-Bull's, you must: 1. Contact us so we can send you an adoption application 2. Give at least 2 references to attest to your character 3. Give a Vet reference if applicable 4. Allow a homecheck to be performed ALL DOGS WILL BE SPAYED/NEUTERED BEFORE GOING TO THEIR NEW HOME. IF YOU ARE INTERESTED IN BREEDING, OR ANY ILLEGAL PURPOSES (dogfighting, etc) DO NOT CONTACT US. ALL DOGS WILL BE PLACED IN INDOOR HOMES ONLY! Adoption decisions will be made determining any BSL (Breed Specific Legislations) regulations. Redeem-A-Bull Pit Bull Rescue has the right to refuse any application when deemed necessary. All information is processed with discretion.
**Adoption Fee**
Our adoption fee is $175. This fee helps cover: Spay/Neuter, Up-to-date shots (including Rabies), De-worming, Heartworm Test, Microchip, collar, and a toy.
