Odessa is an 8 month old, 40 pound Pit mix as of June 10th. She is an energetic and affectionate girl. She loves to play with my dogs and loves to chase my cats if she can get them to run. Odessa is great with people and would be a good dog for children. This cutie was found following anyone with children down a busy street. Whiskers & Tails Foundation was founded on February 1, 2005 by Lynne Amano, a vegetarian. Our primary mission is to rescue dogs, cats, to assist needy pet owners, to educate the general public on the humane treatment, and care of all animals.
Our goal is to prevent animal cruelty, and make their lives better while with us. We continue to form relationships with local animal shelters, rescue groups, individuals, volunteers, city, county organizations and supporters. We also donate to other organizations to assist them with their mission objectives.
One of our programs assists senior citizens with their companion animals by finding temporary pet housing, while the owner is hospitalized, in recovery, or permanent homes in cases of the owner's terminal illness, or death.
Whiskers & Tails Foundation believes in spay and neuter of all animals, especially feral cats. We rescue barnyard animals, and educate public on backyard wildlife.
Whiskers & Tails Foundation is a registered 501 (C) (3) Non Profit Organization, Tax ID #02-0737421. We are based out of the sunny Southern California, in the City of Rancho Palos Verdes. Our funding comes entirely from donations, our adoption fees and fund raisers. We do not receive any City, County or Government funding. Your tax deductible donation is used 100% for the welfare, and veterinary care of the animals while they are with us.
