My sisters and I were abandoned by the river. We were found hiding in some cactus at night. We've been fostered in various homes till we could get our vet appointments. Reportedly, we have amiable dispositions, are house training very quickly. Our parentage is a mystery -- we look to be shepherd -sharpei, possibly rottie or bloodhound as well, or who knows which giant breed dog in the mix! We'll be ready to adopt by the second weekend in April. We love playing in a wading pool of water and we love kids! We might be young enough to live to grow up with kitties and learn to respect them. If you're looking for a pup that will be an impressive looking as a grown dog -- tough on the outside and squishy puppy dog heart on the inside -one of us might be the perfect future x-large dog for you. We already weigh between 30 lbs and 36 lbs at 3 months old. Deena has standing up ears and weighs 35 lbs, Singer has floppy ears and weighs 36 lbs, Zeena has floppy ears and weighs 30 lbs. A.R.T.A. -- Animal Rescue, Transport, and Adoption -- is a small, rural foster home based rescue that cares for and places kittens, cats, puppies, and dogs into new homes -- usually, in the Tucson and Phoenix areas. Most of our adoptable animals have been relinquished by previous owners who could not care for them due to unforeseen circumstances or life changes. The adoptable animals may be visited by appointment or be seen in Tucson area. for weekend adoption events.
A.R.T.A. adopts mostly to homes in Tucson and Phoenix areas. Other locations may be considered.

Please, email about your ideal cat or dog you'd like to adopt and a little about home you are offering. Adoption fee is usually just the cost that vet charges for spay, neuter, and shots.
