Roo's story...
SOUTHERN CALIFORNIA
Roo is a very affectionate, sweet and loving cat. Considering the awful situation he came from it's surprising that he is as trusting of people as he is. As you can see in one of the pictures, Roo is a lap cat. Roo also is extremely active, and quite the acrobat, being able to easily jump 5 feet up to a ledge at the foster mom's house. Roo has been fully vetted and is up to date on his vaccinations.
Roo came to us directly from Animal Control. They went out on a call about a cat that was being abused. When they arrived at the house AC saw Roo being chased and mauled by young children. He had no place to hide or climb.
AC turned Roo over to us right after they pulled him. He was dehydrated, sick, afraid and he was missing some of his back claws due to a bacterial infection. He was suffering from neglect and abuse. Roo has blossomed at the foster mom's house, has been vetted and has a clean bill of health. Thanks to medication and the doting care of his foster mom, the bacterial infection has cleared up, his claws are growing back and he's become a little love bug.
Roo needs to find a home where there are no young children. We do not know how he would do with other cats, but my guess is that if the introduction is done right and the other cat is cat-social, he'll probably do fine.
Roo is really special and needs a great home, a home with people who will adore him and give him the love that he deserves. This is his second chance for a loving, safe life.
Because of the medical expenses we are asking for a $175 adoption fee for Roo.
