About Our Rescue Group...
We are an all volunteer rescue organization devoted to saving dogs from shelters, puppy mills, abusive situations and abondonment in North Carolina. Our members foster, transport and help the rescue efforts with their individual skills, experience, knowledge and expertise, and most importantly, their love of dogs.

At Pawfect Match Rescue we believe that ALL dogs deserve a second chance regardless of their breed or age.

We take a different approach to rescue. We don’t try to save the masses; we just save ONE at a time and make them the best dog they can be by the time they find their forever homes.

By that we mean that we take them into our homes where they live amongst us and our pets and are treated as one of the family, not as a foster dog. We accomplish this by limiting our fosters to one or two per household.

Besides the basics of crate training and house training, we teach them basic obedience, we groom them, feed them a high quality dog food, and last but not least, we shower them with LOVE and attention that hopefully teaches them to trust again and realize that life really IS good..

We’ll never be able to save them all, no matter how many we try to pull and foster. So we believe that the one at a time approach with the extra TLC allows us to really KNOW the dogs and be able to match them more precisely with their new families.

This ends up being a win- win situation for all involved.

Pawfect Match is all volunteer and relys soley on adoption donation fees and public support. Most times our adoption donations do not cover our medical expenses.

Our Adoption Process...
The first step is to fill out our adoption application ,(on our website at www.pawfectmatch.org under how to adopt) and email it to us, to begin the application process.

Once we receive your application, the second step will be to check your vet reference and talk to your personal references.

The third step is to schedule a home check. This is not to see what kind of a house you live in or how clean or dirty it is. It is simply to see if the “setup” i.e. yard size, fencing, etc. is compatible with your dog of interest. It also allows other animals in your household to meet a potential foster dog and see if they are going to get along.

After all three of these steps are completed there will be an adoption contract to sign and an adoption donation fee. Our fees are $250.00 for puppies, $200.00 for dogs 1-3 and $175.00 for dogs over 4. This may seem high, but it is actually a bargain. Your new pet will be fully vetted, spayed or neutered, on heartworm preventive, flea and tick meds, micro-chipped, groomed, and well on his/her way with basic obedience and house training. All of our dogs will be adopted out with a “goody” bag, a collar and leash, nametag, and a free month of shelter care pet insurance.
