Rascal and big boy Fred's Story...
Please contact Ryan (bu.ter.fly@hotmail.com) for more information about this pet.

These are 2 year old orange tabby twin brothers, originally part of triplets, and were found in an apartment when they were 3 months old.  The man who found them kept one and took these 2 to Little Rascals Rescue.  Although well treated and up to date on all their shots, neutered and microchipped etc. they are in rescue with many other cats and dogs, so have never had a chance to really experience real home life, or all the one on one attention. Every weekend the twins are taken to Petco to be adopted which has not hepled them to settle, so they have remained totally scared and do not show their true characteristics when there. We felt sorry for them and so are currently fostering them but we really,as much as we would love to, cannot keep them. They have now been with us now for 2 weeks, we call the smaller one Rascal who came out exploring 36-48 hours later and he really is very cute and playful. His character has really developed he is desperate to be loved. He is very playful, can act a bit like a puppy dog following one around, and absolutely loves to sit on the sofa and have his chin rubbed, At the moment its when HE wants you to touch him, so sudden movements to stroke him still scare him but he is getting better each day. The more he interacts and learns to trust, the more loving he becomes.

The brother (Temporailily called Big Boy)-do not be fooled by the name, he is not big but slightly bigger than his brother. The name has been given more as 'what a Big Boy, coming out of hiding!!!' He is still very insecure, does come out in the evening from under the bed and spends a few hours checking out the surroundings, but the moment you attempt to get close to him, back he goes under the bed.Again, although his progress is slower, we are pretty sure that given time to adapt and feel safe ans secure, he will come out and want love too. He must feel some sense of security because when you check under the bed he is often on his back with his legs up in the air.

Both since day 1, are litter box trained. We have a cat door which leads to the garage where the litter box is kept and they have had no problem finding it. They have not scratched the furniture; we have a wheel with a cardboard scratchpad insert which they use as well as a cat condo. Behaviorwise we cannot fault them. These 2 little fellows are desperate for a loving home and we feel the ideal placement where there are no young children, ideally someone older who would enjoy the quiet companionship of these 2 boys.

All of our cats are spay/neutered, up to date on all shots, felv/fiv combo tested, and microchipped.  If you are interested call Ryan 623-606-4855 or Jen 623-210-6578 or email bu.ter.fly@hotmail.com

About Our Rescue Group...
Little Rascals Rescue is a foster based 501c3 non profit animal rescue founded on the belief that a few caring people can make a difference in many animals lives. In Maricopa county alone 900 animals are euthanized a week. That number is way too high and through the effort of rescue groups like ourselves we believe we can make an impact on the lives of the many animals being euthanized daily. We live by the mantra 1 adopted and 2 saved, meaning every time someone adopts an animal from us we go pick up another off the euthanasia list, so thats 2 lives you save by adopting one animal. Our group is dedicated to saving the animals other rescue groups just can't save, mainly the medical and behavioral cases. That doesn't mean we won't have plenty of highly adoptable animals also.
