Winnie's story...
I'm a pretty, medium-sized girl with a grey crest on my head and a terrier coat. I'm spunky, smart, and playful. I'm crate trained and an easy to live with dog. I was on euthanasia list at a big city pound because I was sneezing in that drafty shelter environment this winter. Luckily, this pound gladly works with rescue groups to save as many dog as possible! So, I'm healthy and happy now and ready for a home. I'm used to playing with lots of dogs and might be fine with a canine friend, going to the dog park, and yet could be happy as well as an only dog with lots of human love and companionship. A.R.T.A. -- Animal Rescue, Transport, and Adoption -- is a small, rural foster home based rescue that cares for and places kittens, cats, puppies, and dogs into new homes -- usually, in the Tucson and Phoenix areas. Most of our adoptable animals have been relinquished by previous owners who could not care for them due to unforeseen circumstances or life changes. The adoptable animals may be visited by appointment or be seen in Tucson area. for weekend adoption events.
A.R.T.A. adopts mostly to homes in Tucson and Phoenix areas. Other locations may be considered.

Please, email about your ideal cat or dog you'd like to adopt and a little about home you are offering. Adoption fee is usually just the cost that vet charges for spay, neuter, and shots.
