Nelson's story...
Nelson is a 1-year-old Rottweiler-Husky mix. Nelson says: "I was so frightened when I was abandoned in a park in East Bakersfield. I know, Rottweilers are supposed to be tough but how would you feel if you were dumped by the people you love - left all alone in the world. I admit it, I was scared! But then a wonderful human, a friend of Alpha Canine Sanctuary, found me and took me to Alpha. Now I have a home for as long as it takes for a loving family to find me."

Come Meet Our Pets...
Dogs can be adopted from the sanctuary Monday through Saturday, 10 a.m. - 4 p.m.

ALPHA dogs are spayed or neutered, have a 7 in 1 and a rabies shot and are microchipped. The microchip number is registered at no additional cost. The adoption fee is $95. A full refund is given if the dog must be returned withing two weeks. Any dog adopted from ALPHA can be returned anytime during its lifetime.
