Kenna and Kennice's Story...
These charmers were born on Saint Patrick's Day 2005; their names are Irish and mean beautiful, which they certainly are! Kenna is the short-haired one; Kennice has longer hair--she looks like a Maine coon. They had a nice home, but their person up and moved to New Zealand. They are gentle and affectionate and took only a day or two to adapt to their new foster home, so they will probably make themselves quickly at home with you! Please don't apply unless this will be a permanent situation for them; they don't need to be displaced again! Contact Julie to arrange to meet them; jnycewalker@aol.com; 202/547-8497.

Rescue Group Info...

About Our Rescue Group...
We are a group of private households who rescue and find homes for cats and kittens abandoned at several shelters, most of which have the high kill rate typical of large metropolitan areas. We also do street rescue of placeable cats and kittens and cooperate with local feral rescuers as time and space permit. We do it to save lives.
Come Meet Our Pets...
We show for adoption every Sunday except major holiday weekends. Location is--
Chateau-Animaux
524 8th Street, SE
Washington, DC 20003
Noon to 3 pm Sunday
Our Adoption Process...
Prospective adopters fill in an application form at the adoption event. We do landlord and veterinary reference checks before proceeding to the next stage, which involves a home visit where the cat or kitten will be living. The cat or kitten is spayed or neutered before placement; cost is included in the adoption fee (currently $80). The contract requires that the cat or kitten be indoors-only and that it cannot be declawed. In addition, we do not place single kittens unless the household has another cat or kitten who needs a friend; otherwise it has to be two kittens together.
We Serve the Following Cities, Towns, and/or Counties...
Washington, DC, and counties in Maryland and Virginia that are within commuting distance.
