Puff and Puck's story...
These sweet boys, along with their two brothers (see Ariel and Skye), were born last July to a Capitol Hill alley cat. Puff is a real love bug, mostly white with a few gray patches, and a gray tail with a white tip. He's always ready for kisses or cuddling, and loves watching birds at the window with his brother. Puck is a small, elegant guy who's happy to supervise his foster mom when she's working and never hesitates to tell her when he's ready for some love. These boys want to be adopted together or with one of their brothers. Call Paula on 202/399-9535;pckauffmann@aol.com to arrange to meet them.

About Our Rescue Group...
We are a group of private households who rescue and find homes for cats and kittens abandoned at several shelters, most of which have the high kill rate typical of large metropolitan areas. We also do street rescue of placeable cats and kittens and cooperate with local feral rescuers as time and space permit. We do it to save lives.

Our Adoption Process...
Prospective adopters fill in an application form at the adoption event. We do landlord and veterinary reference checks before proceeding to the next stage, which involves a home visit where the cat or kitten will be living. The cat or kitten is spayed or neutered before placement; cost is included in the adoption fee (currently $80). The contract requires that the cat or kitten be indoors-only and that it cannot be declawed. In addition, we do not place single kittens unless the household has another cat or kitten who needs a friend; otherwise it has to be two kittens together.
We Serve the Following Cities, Towns, and/or Counties...
Washington, DC, and counties in Maryland and Virginia that are within commuting distance.
