Brad's story...

Date of Birth (whelped): 01/01/03 (estimated)

Meet Brad, a Labrador Retriever mix.

Brad was found as a stray in Greene County Iowa on Thanksgiving Day of 2005. The county pound was full, they instructed the person who found him to bring him in next week after they euthanize the other dogs already there. They would have room for him then. Obviously that was not an option, and the farmer has been trying to find a home for him since, and recently ask A.P.E. to help him in this search.

Brad would make a good city dog or farm dog. He is used to being outside with a building for him to get into and out of the elements. Brad is good with other dogs, when properly introduced and supervised.

The adoption fee for this dog is set at $125, which includes: $100 placement fee and a $25 rebate upon successful completion of basic obedience training.

Adoption Information:

Please remember that every animal available for adoption through an A.P.E.-affiliated organization is fully-vetted for its age and only needs routine preventive care. Dogs older then 6 months of age are heartworm tested; all cats are tested for Feline Leukemia and Feline Immunodeficiency Virus (FELUK/FIV). All dogs are kept on heartworm preventative. Every dog and cat is vaccinated (age appropriate), microchipped, and de-wormed, in addition to being spayed/neutered.

We are asking for interested parties to fill out a pre-adoption questionnaire prior to lining up an appointment to visit the animal(s) at the animal's home.

For more information on our adoption procedures, (such as requiring adopters to travel to central Iowa to pick the animal up when approved to adopt as A.P.E. does not ship animals or meet people half way) or to obtain a pre-adoption questionnaire to become eligible to adopt, please visit our website's Adoption Page.

Want to help, but the time is not right to adopt? You can make a tax-deductible donation to A.P.E. via PayPal.
