Jasper's story...
Can you believe how happy I am? I am so glad to be out of the shelter and into a foster home, that I can't contain myself. Thats why my tongue is hanging out. I am a 5 year old boy who is housetrained, crate trained, great with people, and wonderful with dogs my size and larger (no cats, please). I am only 44 pounds, so I am not too big, and my obedience training is going marvelously. How can you resist the temptation to come and meet me? When you finally give in, ask for me, and I won't disappoint.

About Our Rescue Group...
The Sunburst Foundation is a group of people dedicated to rescuing dogs from high-kill shelters and placing them in permanent homes. Most of the dogs are in foster homes, where they are already trained to be the perfect companion when they are adopted.

Come Meet Our Pets...
Foster homes and monetary donations are greatly appreciated. This ensures the successful continuation of our program.
Our Adoption Process...
Our adoption process begins with you meeting a puppy pal of your interest. If we feel the match would be great for you and the dog, we encourage a trial foster period for potential adopters to get to know their new friend.

If the fostering works out, then the next step is adoption!!!! A donation between $125 and $200 per dog is requested, depending on the specifics of each case, and then the match is permanent.
We Serve the Following Cities, Towns, and/or Counties...
We prefer adoptions to be done in the local area however, we know that many perfect homes for our doggies are elsewhere, and depending on the situation, we are willing to consider out of town adoptions.
