Chai's story...
Personality

Once I warm up to you, I am a big teddy bear. I love sneaking up and stealing kisses. I just want your love and some attention and I am a happy girl.

What are the dog's favorite toys or things to do?
I love being outside, whether it's to run around in the yard or just lay in the sun. I also loved to play tug-o-war with my foster siblings with our stuffed animals and to pull all the stuffing out of my toys.

My forever home:
I would do best in a patient home that can spend some time working with me on my nervousness around new people.
Socialization

Does the dog like cats? Live with cats?
I like to bark at them when they are in the neighbor's yard, but I don't live with any, so I'm not sure how I would do in the same house with them.

Does the dog like other dogs?
I like other dogs. I live with two now and we get along fine, as long as we are supervised. I love to wrestle and play tug-o-war with my foster sibling.

Does the dog like kids?
I haven't been around many kids.

Should the dog be placed with other pets and/or kids?
I would love to have a playmate, but we would have to be separated when left alone. I should probably not live with any children since I am afraid of new people and get anxious around them.
Training and Behavior

Housebroken?
Yes

Crate trained?
No, but I am used to being confined to a small area when my foster parents aren't home and at night.

Has the dog had any training?
I am working on my socialization and have been going to foster dog classes at ABRT.

Does the dog escape the yard? Dig? Bark excessively? Anything else?
I like barking at and chasing squirrels and cats when I am out in the yard. I still have some puppy in me, so I like to chew things up, but as long as I have appropriate toys, I am fine.

Does the dog ride well in the car?
The car isn't my favorite place in the world, but I won't give you any problems getting in or while I am in it.

Is the dog food aggressive?
No. I generally hang back when my foster siblings are getting treats. We all eat in separate rooms to avoid any problems.

Fearful of anything?
I am nervous around new people and tend to bark at them. I am working very hard on this though and have made lots of progress!
Health

I am happy and healthy.
Special Contract

My contract includes an individualized program to be coordinated with ABRT.
