UPDATE: The vet believes that Bubba is considerably younger than his good friend Cookie - probably around 8 instead of 12. Perhaps he was one of her pups that got left behind - who knows? At any rate he is a great dude - sweet and loving, with the worlds cutest pointy ears! Won't you consider bringing Bubba and Cookie into your life? The adorability quotent on these two is off the charts! Bubba and the love of his life, Cookie, were redlisted dogs at the east valley shelter (redlisted means they were on the short list to be killed). They were owner surrenders - probably owned by a backyard breeder who used them to make puppies for profit for years and years and then just abandoned them to an almost certain death at the local shelter once they were no longer financially productive (with so many younger, bouncier dogs at the shelter, how could a seasoned older fellow like Bubba compete?). Bubba feels it is his job to stick close to his girl Cookie and watch over her. Although being a 'breeder' probably wasn't the best life for him, it has definately taken less of a toll on his body (after all, he didn't have to carry or birth litter after litter of puppies, he just helped make 'em) and he's still a very handsome lookin' fella - a sort of Harrison Ford of Min Pins. He's a big help to Cookie who isn't as spry as he is - and now in their golden years she literally leans on him. We know that they both deserve to live a fun-filled and pampered life now that they are retired. After all they've been through together there's no way we'd consider separating Bubba and his girl Cookie - they are a package deal.
