This dog is so smart, affectionate and absolutely perfect when left alone in the house. Because he does have so many of the traits for which his breed is known he does need an experienced owner. He needs someone who can understand that not all dogs come in perfect packages ready to be an instapet. He is very smart and sometimes he will try to be in control. He needs someone experienced who understands the behavior of a pack and can provide this leadership and love for Wiley. Shibas are hunting dogs and so Wiley especially loves to hike. He is fine alone but would also make a good companion for the right female dog and would love access to a yard. If you are an experienced dog owner who is ready for a loyal companion who will patiently wait at home for you each day...then Wiley could be that companion. Wiley is about 38 pounds.
