All potential adopters must fill out an adoption application, and agree with and sign an adoption agreement. Potential adopters are then approved or not approved by the adoption coordinatior and contacted with the final decision. Animals do not usually go home the same day. Cats and kittens are tested for FeLV & FIV, and dogs over 6 months are test for Heartworms. The adoption fee includes the animals up to date vaccines, spay/neuter, deworming and a dose of flea and hearworm prevention. All cats, kittens and dogs are spayed/neutered before going to their new home. Puppies are to be brought back by their adopter to be spayed/neutered when of age/weight. |
