This Bichon was rescued from a commercial puppy mill and can only be placed in a home with a socialized dog already living there. The children in the home must be over the age of 10. Hey folks, if you're looking for a neat, happy-go-lucky guy, I may just be the one. My name is Apollo but mom calls me "Pauly." I'm about 4 yrs old and I'm a pretty cute guy if I may say so myself. I used to live in one of those puppy mills, so I'm just now learning how great life can really be for me. Mom says I need a home with another socialized dog already in the home to help me learn to be a well behaved pet.
I was a little shy at first but now I'm learning how nice it is to snuggle next to mom on the couch and maybe even get her to rub my belly. I usually follow Mom everywhere and I sleep in a doggy bed beside her bed. She says that when I get a forever home I may even get to sleep on the big bed. I get along great with the other fluffs here and I sometimes play with them or with a toy. Treats are a favorite of mine, and mom is teaching me to "sit" before she gives me one.......speaking of treats, I also love to eat. When it's time to eat Mom says I act like I haven't eaten in a week...and if the other guys don't finish their food I can help with that. I'm working on potty training but until I get it mastered, I have to wear a belly band in the house. I don't care much about staying out in the yard for more than a few minutes, so I'm practicing walking on a leash. If you don't have a fence, I'll need some nice long walks to use up some of my energy. The ideal forever home for me would be one where children are over 10 and where someone is home a lot of the time. I hope you will decide to let me be one of your forever fluffs. I really am a neat guy and I promise to try to be good.
Apollo is being fostered in central Ohio.
