Sasha's Story...
My name is Sasha and I was born on January 20, 2006. I am very loving and enjoy car rides and water. I used to sleep with my mommy who could no longer care for me so she gave me up to this nice rescue group so they could find just the right home for me. I am housebroken and crate trained. I can jump low fences so a 6 foot wood fence around the area I will be loose in is a must according to what I hear my foster mom tell people. Otherwise, I will jump the fence and go for big adventures. Because of my coloring, my skin is also sensitive to the sun and I get hot quickly so I do not stay outside very long on hot, sunny days. I am very playful and like to play like I am in a boxing ring with my human parent/parents. I also hear my foster mom tell people I need to be with someone who has experience in working with hyper dogs or with someone who will agree to take me for obedience training. I get along great with other dogs and cats too but I do like to chase the cats to see if they will play with me. When I do that, my foster mom scolds me and I admit that sometimes I try to play with the cats like they are dogs and she reminds me I am a lot bigger than them and I might accidentally hurt them if I am not careful. My foster mom loves me very much and to make sure I go to just the right home, my adoption process will be very thorough and one where I have time to make a comfortable transition from my foster home to my forever home. My foster mom wants me to go to a home where my new family can devote quality time to me and wants me to be "part of the family", not just a "family pet"

My adoption fee is $200.00. A home visit is required as part of my adoption process to insure my new family will have the proper fence, etc. for me

Rescue Group Info...

About Our Rescue Group...
Angel's Rescue was founded by Betty Wiley in 2000, however her plight began years earlier when she became concerned at the number of dogs being abandoned at a local lake. She at first began taking food and water out to them each day and eventually she was able to pick some of them up, take them to the vet for the appropriate health care, then find loving homes for them. Most of our dogs are either rescued from the lake, strays or from local animal shelters.

Angel’s Rescue is a small non-profit 501(c)3 group comprised of volunteers who dedicate themselves to rescuing dogs. We are a “no–kill” rescue group, operating solely on donations. We do not receive any type of government or institutional funding.

Come Meet Our Pets...
We do not have a shelter facility. Each of us foster dogs in our homes. Adoptions can be done during the week at the foster family's convenience. We hold adoptions on Saturday or Sunday (12-5) at the Petco in Mansfield off Fm157 (South Cooper) and Hwy 287
Our Adoption Process...
***Adopting a New Friend:Our adoption process consists of filling out a pre-adoption questionnaire, which is then reviewed by the foster parent. An interview will then be scheduled. If approved, then the adoption contract will be signed and the adoption fee paid. We do not ship dogs.***Adoption Fee Includes:
Between $100 or $350 depending on the type of dog (the reason for this is due to the vet work that goes into some animals. We may have a puppy that gets adopted for $100.00 but we have spent $300.00 on it. The more desirable dogs help to cover this expense. We don't make a profit by getting a higher adoption fee on some dogs, as some people would think. We always have very high vet bills at numerous vets in the area).
*Vet records
*Age appropriate shots
*Heartworm preventive up to date(if dog is heartworm positive, they will be treated)
*Spaying/Neutering
*Any other vet care needed while in our care
*Any training given while in our care

***Our Policy. Each of our dogs is adopted as an indoor family pet, not as a outdoor watchdog, a breeding dog, or a fighting dog. Each adopted animal must be spayed/neutered, even full breed or pedigreed animals. This is not an optional procedure, and it is mandated by city ordinances. The full adoption process is required for each applicant. Adopters are expected to keep their new pet current on all vaccinations, heartworm prevention, & other vet care as needed. Our adoption process usually includes a home visit to insure there is adequate provisions made to insure the safety of the animal, including outside shelter and fences around the home that are in good condition. The adopted animal is usually delivered to the new family at the time the home visit is performed.

***In some cases, we will take pets back if they are no longer able to stay in your home. Depending on the space and availability of foster home.
